Winter Wonderland - Ella Fitzgerald. This chart has been transcribed and adapted from the Frank DeVol arrangement written for Ella's 1960 Verve album "Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas". We have removed much of the orchestral woodwind and have re-scored the chart to suit a standard 5444 line-up. Alto 1 is written to double on Flute. However, the reed parts are printed double sided, with the reverse of the parts scored for a regular AATTB section without a Flute double. As the voicings are slightly different, please have your players use the same version. Overall this is an easy chart to play, with very moderate Trumpet ranges; lead Trumpet to F (top line of stave) though lead Trombone has to reach to Bb. The vocal part is scored "as sung" by Ella and the vocal key is Ab. A wonderful addition to your festive charts.
