The Benny Goodman orchestra performed a similar version of this chart at the Carnegie Hall concert, with Martha Tilton the featured vocalist. This is an easy but effective arrangement, opening after a short intro, with the band taking the first chorus (a sax soli middle 8) into a key change for the vocal chorus. The pick-up is a wailing clarinet (or Soprano) solo, with the vocal coming back before a tutti last shout. A great swing vehicle for your vocalist. The range is A below, to B above middle C. The vocal key is E minor then A minor. Lead alto doubles clarinet.
