Support / Adobe Acrobat PDF Files
All
of our music is written in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, so that files are
small in size, readable by just about any PC and can be printed out
to suit your printer and size of paper. So you will need Adobe Acrobat
Reader, version 4.0 or higher. If you already have Acrobat Reader on
your system please check the software version. You can do this by launching
Acrobat Reader and clicking Help on the menu, and then About Acrobat
Reader. The version number will be displayed. If your version is 2.something
you will not be able to view our files.
Get
the latest version free from Adobe here.
The reason that you need version 4.0 or higher is that it integrates with your web browser, so that when you download a PDF file it appears in your browser window, and you can view it immediately. Also the files are smaller and therefore quicker to download. Our files will probably open in version 3.0 but may not display properly. If you do not have Acrobat Reader you will not be able to see our files.
So, assuming that you have Acrobat Reader on your PC, please run through the following test:
To check that your reader and web browser are integrated, please click on the following test link. A PDF document should download and appear in your browser window. If this does not happen, or all you see is a blank screen, just click the 'Back' or 'Previous Page' button in your browser, and you will return to this page.
If you see the test page please click your 'Back' button too.
Please click this Test Link now.
If you read the message then all is well. If you saw a blank browser window or an error message it probably means that your version of Acrobat is not fully integrated into your Browser. If you have Acrobat Reader 3.0 or later try re-installing it, or else check the status of the plug-ins in your browser. If all else fails you can always right-click the Test Link and choose to save the file to your PC, then view it.
