Mogens Hobel is an accomplished writer, arranger and Trombonist from Denmark with a wide and varied training, including a background in Military playing and arranging.

Inspired especially by the music of Miller, Basie and Heath, he has a number of transcriptions as well as original arrangements of his own. Amongst his portfolio is a commission for a 'Young person's guide to the Big Band'. Based on a famous Danish childrens' song it was broadcast on national radio and received much deserved acclaim.

Mogens' work has been played extensively across his home country and he has contributed arrangements to commercial CD projects, as well as writing for amateur and professional bands alike.

In addition to his Big Band work, Mogens also writes for Brass Band, with the result that his 'Light Big Band' for Brass Band series has found extensive popularity.
