Ernie Barnard is a real musician's musician, a fine trombonist and an excellent arranger with wide experience of writing.

He has produced scores for jazz orchestras, classical orchestras and smaller ensembles. Ernie is an ex-Royal Marine and was for many years the principal trombonist with the Royal Marines.

His latest venture is an unusual and highly effective Trombone group, SlideFX, comprising 4 tenor and 2 bass trombones supported by a rhythm section.

Ernie now lives in Northampton and travels widely across the UK and Europe.
